The University of Tampa – East Walker Hall

Phase 1 of the renovation of East Walker Hall included a 2,500 SF office space addition to the north.

During Phase 2 the interior of the existing building was completely removed to accommodate the redesigned floor plan featuring classrooms and administrative space for IT functions. The condition of the existing main structure required reinforcement of most load bearing elements in order to meet present code. The exterior of the building was restored and received only minor modifications to remain consistent with the existing Walker Hall series of buildings.

This phase also included a 2,400 SF addition as part of the Aquatic Center to provide coach’s offices and locker facilities.

The 90 day schedule was aggressive with Phase 2 construction to start only after spring semester classes concluded and was completed in time for the fall semester in 2013.
