The baseball and softball fields at the University of Tampa received a make-over; they now have new fabric canopies to shade visitors. The growth of the school also meant the growth and popularity of their sports activities, and the school wanted to provide comfortable seating areas for their baseball and softball enthusiasts. The need for shading was resolved with the installation of shading devices over the bleachers at the Sam Bailey Baseball Field (pictured with black fabric) and the Naimoli Family Softball Field (pictured with red fabric). The fabric used were made of high-density polyethylene mesh (which provides over 90% shade factor and protection from the sun’s harmful UV-A & UV-B rays) supported by powder-coated steel columns. The culmination of their construction came just in time for the Spring 2018 season.
